Great investment for your future if done properly and a few keys followed.
- Identify your own strengths and weaknesses in your physical & mental abilities regarding athletics prior to selecting a trainer. (Knowing this will help you compare trainers).
- Get recommendations for trainers from people you know who had success with the trainers
- Select a few personal trainers to meet with and interview. Get each of them to provide a free workout and evaluation/assessment. Compare their workouts and assessments with your own strengths, weaknesses, and goals to determine which trainer is best for you. It’s all about results!
- Results are key, so make sure the trainer gives you a time-frame to see results and signup/pay according to the time-frame. If you don’t see results within the time-frame and you gave your best effort, you have the ability to change trainers without putting out too much money.
- Make sure your results are goal-oriented and you can see incremental improvement based on a progressive degree of difficulty. This is just my own personal preference. All trainers utilize different methods to the madness. Hit me up if you want elaboration!
